Airmail is high priority cargo. As the result of an agreement with the Universal Postal Union, the maximum quantity of air mail that has to be delivered on each departure must be specifically defined for each flight based on statistics, thereby reserving the corresponding quantity on the aircraft. In the event that the air mail volume exceeds the capacity reserved for the same, the carrier shall try to accommodate the remaining mail as soon as possible.
